It’s the year 2118, an age of technological wonders far beyond our wildest imagination. Flying cars flock to designated take-off points every second; yet, with nobody driving them, save for a remotely located AI network. The Earth is enveloped in a blanket of climate control satellites which regulate the entire world’s weather patterns, and everything is powered by nuclear energy! Sounds like something straight out of an Isaac Asimov novel, doesn’t it? Well, looking at the giant leaps in technology that mankind is making today, it is definitely not difficult to imagine that 100 years from now, all of this will have become a reality.
Technology has always played the biggest role in the evolution of mankind, right from the invention of the wheel to the prototype robots and AI systems being developed today. One of the first sectors to feel the impact of this technological revolution will be healthcare, specifically, Ambulance Services, since the preservation, prolonging, and amplification of life, has always been our biggest goal. To begin with, since air travel will have almost completely replaced surface transport, emergency ambulances, like the 108 Ambulance Services and the 1298 Ambulance Services, will have designated altitude levels assigned, for super-fast response time. They will, of course, be driven by the AI system, and equipped with android paramedics, who will have the latest in medical technology at their disposal. From cryogenic freezing technology to stabilize wounds and fractures, to artificially developed, 3D printed organs and organic skin and flesh recreation, human beings will no longer be a victim to disabilities or setbacks because of the accidents and illnesses that we battle today.
In addition to these, the methods of calling for an ambulance will also have changed drastically. While call centers like ZHL’s 108 Ambulance Services and 1298 Ambulance services will still be in existence, they will definitely be quite different than what we have today. Highly advanced robots will fill the roles of the dispatchers, and victims would no longer need to dial a number to call for an ambulance. Instead, the same household AI that controls an individual’s car, will be able to remotely monitor the status of his health, by means of bio-organic nano-implants that will be injected into one’s bloodstream. In case of any kind of threat or danger faced by the individual, the AI will immediately connect to the call centers, to get him the help he needs at the earliest. Even for pregnant women, the 1298 Ambulance services will be able to respond immediately, as they will be updated on the status of the expectant mother in real-time.
Additionally, treatments and healthcare technology will have advanced exponentially, allowing people to live on for much longer. While the possibilities and potential of nanotechnology are still being explored, by the year 2118, humankind will have mastered it. This will help preserve even the lives of victims with serious, potentially fatal injuries, like gunshot wounds and worse, as the nanobots will be able to artificially keep the internal organs working until he can be transported to a proper hospital. With interplanetary travel having hopefully become a norm by then, not only will our technology have advanced manifold, it will have been augmented by the yet undiscovered wonders and mysteries of the rest of the universe. To sum it up, the flurry of successes that mankind has been making in the recent past is nothing but a clear sign of a future that is going to be as grand and larger than life, as the Sci-Fi movies we have grown up watching, and emergency services will play the biggest role in helping enhance and protect our lives, as they always have!
