What Is MMU?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MMU is a\u00a0Mobile Medical Unit<\/strong>\u00a0which is a crucial method for facilitating public health care access, particularly for individuals living in rural, difficult, underserved, and unreachable locations. The goal of this method is to provide healthcare to people\u2019s homes, especially in rural, underserved, and vulnerable areas. This isn\u2019t intended for patient transfers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MMU services are designed to meet the technical and service quality standards for a Primary Health Centre by offering a suggested package of services in 12 theme areas: Maternal Health, Child Health, Mental Health, and Community Health. Neonatal and Infant Health, Child and Adolescent Health, Reproductive Health and Contraceptive Services, Management of Chronic Communicable Diseases, Management of Common Communicable Diseases & basic OPD care (acute simple illnesses), Management of Common Non-Communicable Diseases, Management of Common Non-Communicable Diseases MMUs provide these services for free, as well as facilitating referrals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
