The new law on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has finally been put in place to ensure companies spend a minimum of 2 percent of their total profits towards projects that positively impact society. Under Clause 135 of the Companies Act, approved by Parliament on August 8, 2013, every company with a net worth of Rs. 500 crore or more, or with revenue of at least Rs. 1,000 crore or a net profit of above Rs. 5 crore, will have to spend 2 percent of their three-year average annual profits towards fulfilling their CSR.
CSR can further be an aid to an organization’s mission as well as an aid to the greater public interest at large. Ziqitza Health Care provides numerous opportunities to organizations that undertake focused healthcare initiatives as a part of their CSR program.
Ziqitza Health Care works actively with large organizations like IL&FS, ICICI Lombard, Vedanta, etc., to manage and operate a number of Life Support Ambulances, Mobile Medical Unites, and Health Helpline as a part of their CSR program.
